I have two ring type of slings. I have heard of the pouches and other kinds, too. But, in your experience, what's the best kind of sling for a toddler?

ETA: I know I just posted about what sling is best for the back carry, but now I'd like to know about slings in general, not just for the back. Please excuse my excessive questions! :banghead

I had a real basic ring sling for ds up to about 14 months old and then he was just too big for it. At about 18 months I got a maya wrap and loved loved loved it! It worked great for hip, front, and back. He's a pretty long guy and is heavy (at least for me)... the only way I could carry him for extended periods of time is w/the maya. :tu

I actually don't like the sling once the kids hit 20 lbs. It hurts my shoulder to keep them in it. I made a mei tei, and it's fabulous! :tu Comfortable and fairly easy to get on and off. The back carry is wonderful! :D Anything that goes over both shoulders is a lot more comfortable for me.
