It's chilly today, (mid 40s), and dd's very high fever has just come down... (teething related)... I'm reluctant to take her out... am I being paranoid, or would it be OK to bundle up & go for a walk? (she really wants to go out) What is the rule of thumb with fevers?

I think she would be fine. If she is up for a walk I think it would be great!!

Some fresh air and change of scenery will do her much good!

Sarah (2.5yo dd) runs fevers on occasion, and we just go by how she is behaving, and how she seems to feel--if she is running through the house and obviously full of energy and fine, I just go about our normal business, and keep a closer eye on her, fever wise. (I do try to give her lots of beverages and juice pops, to keep her hydrated, just iin case)
If she is glassy eyed and just sitting on the couch, the I assume she doesn't feel well, and act accordingly.
Hope this helps:)
