mines only workiung off and on so when dh gets his bonus we'll be buying a camera. I want a GOOD quality camera, no less than 1.3mp (whjat my cam is now, it was top of the line when dad bought it 5yrs ago, lol!, the lens kmakes all the difference though, and olympus has awesome lenses!), probably will get more than that. no kodak, i/friends have had too many issues w/ them and not satisfied w/ the quality.

we're thinking about going all out for http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=30-111-129&depa=0 but i have reservations, i can't put my mind around spending that much. but then the other one i like is http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=30-111-132&depa=0 and thats still a lot

theres also this one, a lot like the one i have http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=30-111-143&depa=0

I just dunno, i have 2 wks to think though!

dh says whatever i devcide, he says "however much, it's not something we can say we never used and was a waste!"

I'm just reaffirming your decision to stay away from Kodak. I loved my Advantix and it lasted several years through lots of abuse. My digital Kodak quit after a year! :hissyfit I still don't have a new camera! :td

I have an Olympus Camedia Digital camera D-395, I know it's not the best out there, but I love it and it's very easy to use with great picture qulaity. I got it online at walmart.com under $150.

I :heart my Sony CyberShot.

I know many people who own it and have never heard a bad thing about it.

For good advice & deals on camera shopping - check out www.fatwallet.com (http://www.fatwallet.com)
based on advice I got there, I bought my Canon Rebel with the Lens Kit for $600 after rebate - the cheapest I found in real life was $899

Good Luck!!

I love love love love LOVE my Canon S1. LOVE it. I mean looooooooooooooooove it. I love that it has a 10x optical zoom (which eliminates SO MUCH cropping), I love that it takes DVD quality video with sound. I love that I can flip the screen around and take pictures of ourselves. I love that you can flip the screen around and protexct it. I love that it's user friendly.

I love it. Did I mention I love it?
