GF Question

Is a GF diet really so expensive? :eek I went to the natural foods store to try to pick up a loaf of GF bread and it was $5 for a loaf half the size of our normal bread. :wow Is it normally that expensive, or do we just have a high-priced store?

ours is 6 dollars a loaf. I buy through a co-op 25 pounds of flour at a time and make my own. which has been its own trial :/ but now its pretty good :) not great, but better than it was.

I found that transitioning was really expensive, but once we had our pantry stocked and were completely transitioned, it has become a bit cheaper- not cheaper than it was- cheaper than transition. We all eat gf, dh will get store bought pizza on friday nights and eat that for his lunches and the rest we all eat the same. i found that cheaper and easier than buying all different things for different people.
