AAAACK! Need cat repellent!

Help! We are in the process of re-doing our front yard, and the cats are using it as a litter box! Any ideas on how to keep them out?!

Ummm..you could get one of those water-spray bottle and squirt them when they go in the yard :shrug

I have no ideas...but I need a repellent as well...our new neighborhood has TOO MANY stray cats! I think there are at least 10 and most I think are from the same litter. And to think I thought just having a dog would be repellent enough. :rolleyes

Get a dog! Small dogs work best, like a chihuahua (sp?) pronounced Chi-ow-wa.

Cats don't like onions either. If you cut an onion in half and leave it around they will not come by. There are also some plants they don't like. Oh, and they don't like things that mess with their paws, they like sand, but not rock, they don't like sticky or wet. Maybe you could set your sprinklers so you can turn them on when they enter your yard?
