Can you tell me more about this? I keep hearing it mentioned and then I saw mommyTay mention in another post that it has activities and so now I am intrigued! Is there a website where I can read more about it?

Thanks!

Thanks, Amie! :tu I read about it there and then decided to see if Amazon had it. Well, they did and they also had the "search inside" feature so I was able to read some of it. It looks SO neat! I'm really intrigued. I was also able to look inside the activity book that goes along with it and that has a lot of really neat things as well.

In case anyone else is intersted:
Story of the World (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0971412901)
Activity Book (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0971412952)

Wow, how will I ever decide on anything when I keep finding all of these fantastic different options!?!?!?

It's an EXCELLENT book, Sara. The classical school my husband teaches at centers their early elementary history around it.

We use it. We are on Volume 3. It's a four volume history of the world designed to follow the four year cycle described in The Well Trained Mind, and written by one of the authors of that book. The first volume is the Ancients up to 500 AD, the second volume is Medieval and Renaissance up to 1600,, Vol. 3 is Early Modern 1603-1850, and Vol 4 which will be out this summer is 1850-present. It is designed for early elementary students. There is a Book and an activity guide which goes with it, and the price is pretty reasonable. I use the activity guide for the maps, colring sheets, list of other books to read. Occasionally I do an activity :blush I keep telling myself when we go through the cycle again and the other two are older we will do more projects. Time will tell... My ds likes it anyway.
