My daughter has various food allergies. She sometimes gets the red ring around her anus. She also has had problems with tooth decay (Early Childhood Caries). While researching ECC I came across one mom who determined that one contributing factor to her child's caries was food allergies that caused the saliva to become too acidic. I haven't found any info on the internet about this though. Was wondering if any of you knew anything about this subject. I also wondered if increased acidity caused the allergy ring around the anus. I can't seem to find any info on how exactly allergy causes the ring. Anyone familar with this subject (especially regarding acidic saliva)? Thanks!
