Does anyone garden, does it belong here? We have a big yard, and have a longer growing season than we have ever had before and I would love to grow, but would like to start organic, can I buy organic seeds? If so where? I didn't do any compost over the winter as I should have, just leaves. MIL wants to take me to home depot on Mother's Day to buy already started plants but with all the GMO, I am not wanting to go that route.
I would ideally like, tomatoes, potatoes (red), carrots, beets, corn, zucchini, lettuce, cucumbers, peppers, mint and basil. I would like enough to eat off the vine and to be able to can, or freeze tomatoes, corn, carrots, beets and dry the basil. I know I should be starting the seeds already so if anyone knows a site I can buy from I would be most grateful and any hints for keeping bugs off etc.
