So I was wondering....

you know how sometimes we see our children about to do something and we rush in and go "I wont let you hit" or pull them away from the fire or whatever.

Do you think God does this?I guess I never thought of it before, or maybe I always thought God just sits there and watches me fall, but then forgives anyway. I know that I have been protected to a certain extent, but I know that I have fallen - alot-.

At Bible study last night a lady gave an example of telling God "God, Im going to __" and then just by being honest things turned around and he basically blocked it.

thoughts anyone... just trying to sort this out... :)

I absolutely think that God is proactive in his discipline. I can think of countless times in my life that the consequences of what I had involved myself in should have been devastating but God in his mercy blocked them. I've fallen. Lots. But just as we don't set back and cross our arms and watch our child fall (unless we know for certain that they're ready to experience that natural consequence) neither does God.
