So... I made Kate the pouch in my avatar with some remnant fabric after making a ring sling for a friend a month or so ago. When I was making it, I thought, "I don't have a pouch. I want to make a pouch." So I got some red sateen stretch fabric exactly like my friend picked out (like Kate's pouch.) After almost a week, I finally got motivated to make it. (All my sewing energy had been spent hemming Kate's easter dress.) I spent 1.5 hours tonight and finished it... it looks really cute! I have this overwhelming urge to try it out. So much so, that when I showed it to dh, I told him I really wanted to wake Kate up and put her in it. I am not going to... I just don't want to wait until tomorrow! But DH knows I am a crazed lunatic, so he just :rolleyes and :lol

Oddly enough, everyone I knew I Austin who slung had a ring sling, so I've never seen a pouch used in real life!

Well, in her ring sling, she'd wave back, but in the pouch, her arm is pinned down so she can't! :)

That is great! The look on her face is sooo adorable! And the pouch looks pretty nice, too! :) I know nothing about sewing, so I'm pretty much in awe right now. :mrgreen

I am a novice seamstress (just started this fall) and making a pouch is REALLY easy. Trust me. But thanks for the compliments. :O

I refer to that face as "Kate, the mafia heiress." My grandma's cousin was a mob boss (in Philly!) so I think I've got a legit claim to calling it that ;)
