I envy you. :mrgreen

Where are you located?

What did you plant?

I want to get some pansies...I love pansies..they remind me of my mom, who is in far away Colorado. Maybe once we get our sunporch done(this weekend, I hope! fingers crossed).

Cool! There's too much snow here in Wisconsin, so it'll be awhile before I can do my gardening.

I live in southeast Pennsylvania.

It's just starting to get warmer now, the ski resorts are still open though :think :shrug

Yes, I planted in my flowerpot so I can take it inside if need-be and I planted some special daisey things (find the name it's a new one for me) yellow with purple centers that the garden center lady said will love the cold weather of spring and fall, I planted those along with pansies and a hyacynth (sp) It's sitting on my portch now, the first flowers on the block, I just couldn't stand the bleakness of what has turned into spring.

Wish I could do that here but I think tomorrows 1-3" of snow would do some damage, don't you think?

Spring has been a long time coming this year......I am chomping at the bit for warmer weather and sunny days!!! good for you with your flowers, Debra! I love getting to plant stuff. Today was another gray day but between rain showers I went out and cut a bouquet of daffodils.

What roses did you plant, NurtureMama?

I planted a new rose on Saturday--a Pat Austin, to replace the Pat Austin I planted last fall that the rabbits nibbled down to the ground. I am newly obsessed with rose-growing (the bug bit me two springs ago.)

It's been snowing off and on for the past three weeks, but I think winter is finally losing it's hold! :D Last fall I planted over 250 bulbs, and I can't wait to see how they come up this year!!! (flower bulbs were all I asked for for my birthday last year! LOL) Come on little flowers.... GROW!!! :heartflower

How fun! I'd love to plant flowers, but I seem to kill everything green I touch, so I'm too scared. :lol

IKWYM! This will be only the 4th year that I've ever had a garden! Some things I plant die, but others make it through in spite of me. LOL There are some flowers that it seems you just can't kill. Here are some that work for me: Coreopsis, Shasta Daisies, Zinnias, Columbines, and of course, Marigolds. The best part about Marigolds and Zinnias is that the seeds are big enough for little kids to plant, too. We planted a bunch of these in paper cups and grew them on the windowsill last year, and they did great! (or you can plant them along the sides of a clear plastic cup and watch the roots grow, too!) And they are CHEAP! You can usually get them at Walmart for 10 cents a package!

Just some ideas, in case you want to try it again! :D
