My dh has really high (genetic) cholesterol & has been recommended to be on a really restrictive low fat/high fiber diet. He's been really good about making the necessary changes in his eating habits. At the same time, DD started school full days and has been eating lunch at school (or not eating it as the case may be). She has lost a few pounds in the past 6 months, which she can ill afford to do. She is 5 and weighs 38lbs. Her doctor has recommended a diet that helps her to put on weight. I am having trouble making the two very different diets work in our household. Does anyone have any ideas, particularly around dinnertime, that might help us?

Hi! Is the diet that your Dr. recommended something that is very specfic? Or is he just recommending that you up fat intake?

No, its not specific "hi fat", just to up her intake. She doesn't like a lot of the high fiber, low fat (beans & lentils) type stuff that my dh eats. So its a bit tricky coordinating our meals.
