Jeri

Jeri and her husband have been married for over 16 years. They are an unschooling family and have four wonderful children -- an eleven year old, a nine year old, a six year old, and a three year old nursling. All of their children had gentle births, and their three youngest were born at home in water. Jeri and her children are vegan, and her husband supports her in this and eats mostly vegan at home. She has a personal website called Kidz are People, Too! that she hasn't update for ages because this one takes up most of her time.

Bridget is a board administrator at GCM, and she moderates the "Marriage" and "Young Thinkers" forums.

She and her husband have been married for ten years, and have four children ages one to seven years. Bridget discovered attachment parenting when pregnant with her first child, and gentle discipline after having her second child. They are an ecclectic homeschooling family, who tend to lean towards unschooling more often than not. Bridget enjoys reading, walking, swimming, and collecting recipes. She is also involved as a leader in her local MOPS group, and Children's Ministries at her church.

Amanda
(Punkie)

She and her husband, Joe, have been married for 5 years. They have a son who is 3 and a daughter who is 1. Amanda officially learned about attachment parenting while she was pregnant with her son, although she quickly realized that her parents had been AP parents without even knowing it. Since she was raised in a family that breastfed, co-slept, cloth diapered, didn't cry-it-out, and didn't spank, this was a natural way for her to parent. Amanda majored in computer information systems in college and now runs several websites and does programming work on the side. She has many hobbies, including guitar playing, running, knitting, yoga, hiking, bellydancing, cooking, and blogging. She volunteers at church in the children's ministry, leads several mom's groups, and also leads several groups through the church including a group for young parents and a running group.

Crystal is an admin at GCM and moderates the "Gentle Discipline," "Intense Fellowship," and "Vegetarian and Vegan" forums.

She and her husband have been married for 9 years and have 5 children--ages 8, 5, 3 and twins who will be one in January 2006. Crystal is the author of Biblical Parenting and heads the family ministry Arms of Love Family Fellowship and is a pastor with Beth Simchat Ha'Mashiach. In her spare time Crystal homeschools her children and pursues her other interests of reading and cooking. You can visit her website at http://www.aolff.org.

Danette is an administrator for the GCM message board and moderates the "Christian Issues" forum.

For 14 years Danette has been a military wife to her husband Joe. Together they have two boys ages 8 and 6 and a little girl age 5. Danette first learned about Attachment Parenting and Graced Based Discipline 5 years ago when she was searching for parenting ideas to help raise her sons. Gentle Christian Mothers has been an important place for her to come for information, encouragement, and friendship. Danette is involved with her local chapel community assisting in music, children, and women's ministries. Danette also volunteers at her children's school, loves baking and scrapbooking, and assists in Air Force projects that help the community.

Kathy

Kathy is an administrator for the GCM board and helps moderate the "Unprepared for Parenting," "Breastfeeding," and "Theological and Doctrinal Issues" boards.

She and her husband been married 27 years and are the parents of three sons, ages 24, 21 and 15. The oldest one is a Grammy-winning musician, the middle one is a systems administrator by day and writer by night, and the youngest loves to play drums and baseball--and they enjoy them all very much. They homeschooled all three and attachment parented them (although the term was not yet coined back when their oldest was a baby.) When her children were younger, Kathy was an LLL Leader for ten years. She enjoys encouraging new mothers to embrace the changes that motherhood brings.

Kym is a board administrator and moderates the "Hobbies and Crafts," "Animal Companions," "Weight Management," and "Natural Health & Nutrition" forums.

She is a joyfully married, play-at-home mama to a delightful five year old son. Their family enjoys the blessings of unschooling, biological breastfeeding, sharing a snuggle family bed (including two cover-hogging cats), seeking natural health and nutrition alternatives, living gently and gratefully in Christ's bountiful love. Kym is an avid lactavist, reader, writer, wannabe artist, animal lover, former professional chef, aspiring Celtic/folk harpist, nature-loving, fitness questing, and God-loving mama who loves to connect with and encourage other moms on the same journey.

Liz is an administrator for the GCM board and moderates the "Intense Fellowship," "Breastfeeding," "Kids' & Family Activities," "Arts & Entertainment," and "Prayer & Praise" forums.

She and her husband have been blessed with a spirited, active toddler and hope for more children in the future. Liz and her husband are attached parents and cannot imagine life any other way. She is an avid reader and loves research and education.

Marcella

Marcella is an administrator for the GCM message board and moderates the "Natural Health & Nutrition," "Twinkle in Our Eyes," and "Empty Arms" forums. She is also the GCM secretary.

She has been married for eleven years and has two girls. She enjoys dying fabric, sewing, and taking road trips with her family. Marcella has always been AP, but didn't know there was a name for it until her oldest daughter was about one year. Then she discovered the Gentle Christian Mothers and put a name to what she was already doing. Marcella is working toward her Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry and homeschooling. She has started a Christian Attachment Parenting group at groups.yahoo.com/CHEAP-OC.
